The EPM Completes its preparations for the Founding Conference.

The preparations of the of the founding conference of the Eritrean People’s Movement have been completed, according to the preparatory committee which includes Abdu Abdella, Dr. Negash, Alazar Hagos,Weldemicheal and others. Thus, the participating representatives, about 100, have arrived in Khartoum from different parts of the world as well as the various regions of the Sudan, according to the committee. The delegation of Australia was in the lead and was followed by that of Sweden, Holland, UK, the Scandinavian countries and the USA. Moreover, the leadership of the Eritrean Movement for Change has also arrived headed by Dr. Tesfai Bringi along with four others members of the political office of the party. Furthermore, Gulf Information Center has learned that representatives of the Eritrean National Front by the leadership of Abraham Negash have arrived in the late afternoon by Khartoum’s timing. It is recalled that the latter two parties have joined the EPM and have come to take part at its instituting conference. In a related course, known Eritrean journalists, writers and political analysts have decided to join the Eritrean political arena by involving in the upcoming conference of the EPM. Thus, Al-taher Hamde, who has had distinguished stamps in the regime’s TV before his departure Asmara, Mohammed Ali Sheeb from the website of Al-nhada, Moneer of Farajat website, Omer Lelish ,who has considerable contributions in various Eritrean websites and Salah Ali who has appeared powerfully in the broadcast media world particularly during the last Eritro-Ethiopian border war through MBC, have come to participate at the establishing conference of the EPM..

The participating delegations at the EPM’s establishing conference are from various political backgrounds particularly Jebha, Shaebia, civil society organizations and independent individuals. The most known individuals of the Jebha school are Saleh Jemjam, Ahmed Sekerteer, Abdu Abdella and Omer Sulieman who were members of the Supreme leadership of ELF during the liberation struggle. Moreover the leadership of the two joining organizations are also of Jebha backgrounds. Whereas, the known figures of the shaebia background are the current Chairman and the vice-chairman of EPM ambassadors Adhnom GebreMaraim and Abdella Adem respectively.

The opening of the EPM’s founding conference is in the morning of the coming Wednesday and will be conclude on the 31 of this month, according to the preparatory committee.
