PRINCIPLES
Objective laws that have their roots in the human
nature to improve society in general govern politics like society. It is first
necessary to understand the laws by which society lives. Another signpost that
helps is the concept of power. One has to realize that interests (material,
ideal) not ideas dominate the actions of a nation. We should be aware of the
moral significance of political action. One has to be mindful that nations’
organizations’ moral aspirations may be different or similar, thus talking of
good or evil of relations is to ponder beyond ones capacity.
WHAT IS TACTICAL POLITICAL RELATIONSHIP

That is not based on
democratic ideals.
·
That

·
That
is not based on commitments, but on day-to- day activities.
WHAT
ARE STRATEGIC POLITICAL RELATIONSHIP

prosperities of each nation shall have a positive moral and material influence
on the people of each country.

·

THE INSIGHTS AND THE CRITICS
Some years ago, when the ENA now EDA was formed our
movement asked one of the leaders of the ENA what kind of political relationship
the opposition has with the EPRDF government of Ethiopia. He said strategic
relationship, even though he did not give any factor that supports his
assertion. We said we call it tactical although it can easily be developed into
strategic one. We believe it is still tactical as clearly is explained and
stated by the good insights of radio VOICE OF ERITREAN PEOPLE IN WASHINGTON DC.
Rezene and Beniam suggested for strategic relationship between the Eritrean
opposition and the government of Ethiopia through radio VOEP. We say their call
for strategic insights should be commended rather than jumping to their choice
of words which gave room for interpretation to the enemies of democracy and
strategic rel ationship with Ethiopia like MESKEREM.NET, EIDM, DEKEBAT.COM, EDP
AND THEIR PSUEDO-THEORETICIANS.
Radio VOEP brought a legitimate political issue for
discussion. Opposition organizations instead of responding to enemies of
democracy should have taken the opportunity to bring the issue to life and
explain the people of Eritrea what kind of relationship you have with the
government of Ethiopia as the moment and how you are working to promote it.
Radio VOEP never called for armed intervention, but said let as unite our
strength (arms the body part) and get rid of dictatorship. They are calling for
strategic relationship. Those who want to exploit it said VOEP called for
military intervention in Eritrea others blindly fall into the trap of
Meskerem.net. One has to read between lines and try to understand the concept
before jumping to conclusions. If you pick a sentence off a paragraph and try to
interpret it in a way it best serves you, you are taking it out of context and
this lacks sincerity.
That will be the day when opposition leaders
approach the Ethiopian government to discuss about strategic relationship rather
than sending rumors and pondering to criticism full of distortions.
