Arbitrary detention of citizens is the usual code for the current Eritrean government. Such in humane and illegal act, as a daily duty, was executed up on five Kunama women who are residents of Tessenei. The stated incident has taken place on 27/05/2006, and the victims were put beyond the bar including their children. The name of the five women, detained and languishing in the Sawa training camp are:

1.    Nani Mikele – Of Boshoka but a resident of Tessenei,

2.    Asha Osman – of Kona                                  

3.    Alima Ismail – of Taguda                             

4.    Jimate (father’s name unknown) – of  Dokinbiya but a resident of Tessenei,

5.    Luciya (father’s name unknown) – of Gergef. Those detained mothers are forced to busy themselves in kitchen chores and the children were in prison. Reasons for their detention, as obvious as usual, still, unknown.
